Our pilates and exercise classes suit a wide range of people, not just those who are already fit and flexible.
Many of our class members are recovering from an injury or surgery and need a safe, structured way to rebuild strength. Others come to us with ongoing hip or knee pain, lower back discomfort, or general stiffness that’s holding them back day to day. We also run classes for people who simply want a low-impact way to build core strength and improve posture, and for people going through cancer rehabilitation who need gentle, guided strengthening as part of their recovery.
Because every class is led by a physiotherapist rather than a general fitness instructor, we can adapt movements for people managing pain or working around an injury, something a standard gym pilates class usually can’t offer.
If you’re not sure which class is the right starting point, our team can talk you through it as part of an initial physiotherapy assessment.
Class members most often come to us wanting help with: lower back pain and stiffness, hip and knee pain, weak or deconditioned muscles after surgery or a long break from exercise, poor core stability and posture, and general strength and flexibility loss during cancer treatment or recovery.
Classes are designed to work alongside any physiotherapy or chiropractic treatment plan you’re already on, rather than replace it.
Before your first class, your instructor checks in on any injuries, goals, or areas of concern, so your class and pace are matched to what your body needs.
By the end of your class, you’ll have:
Classes run six days a week across all three clinics, in small groups of six to eight people, with pricing from $20 to $25 per class and a loyalty option that gives you an 11th class free. One-on-one sessions are also available, and are strongly recommended if you’re new to pilates or fitness classes. You’ll also have access to a home pilates library of pre-recorded workouts for practising between classes.
Mat Pilates
Floor-based pilates focused on core control, flexibility, and full-body strength, using body weight and small equipment like bands, stability balls, and magic circles.
Springboard Reformer Pilates
Pilates using our wall-mounted reformer equipment, adding spring resistance to build strength safely. A step up for people wanting a more challenging, equipment-based session.
General Exercise Classes
Broader strength and mobility classes in our onsite clinic gyms, for people who want a structured, guided workout that isn’t specifically pilates-based. A good option if you’re building general fitness or easing back into exercise.
Cancer Rehab Strengthening Classes
Small-group strengthening classes for people going through or recovering from cancer treatment, currently run at our Karaka clinic. Exercises are guided by a physiotherapist and progressed at a pace that suits your energy levels and recovery, and can sit alongside our cancer rehabilitation service.
Private Pilates Sessions
One-on-one pilates with a physiotherapist, built around your goals, injuries, and your current fitness level. Strongly recommended if you’re new to pilates or fitness classes so you can learn correct technique before joining a group class.
With classes running six days a week (including weekends and evenings), we make it easy to find a time that fits your schedule.
Physio Mechanics pilates classes are led by qualified physiotherapists rather than generic fitness instructors, so movements are adapted around injuries and pain, prioritising your safety, progress, and individual needs. Here’s what makes our classes different:
